Funeral services for Grace Ann Wordekemper age 81 of Beemer, NE will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. There will be an Altar Society Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a public Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. all at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is handling the arrangements for the family.

Grace Ann passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer, NE.

Grace Ann Wordekemper was born on August 29, 1935 at Wisner, NE to Frank and Magdalena (Putgenter) Grothe. Grace Ann received her sacraments at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Grace Ann graduated from Wisner High School and prior to her marriage was a school teacher at Cuming Co. Rural School District #39 outside of Wisner, NE.

On November 7, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Wordekemper at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Along with her husband, they owned Bob’s Market in Beemer for 32 years.

Grace Ann was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer and belonged to its Altar Society.

Nicholas and Zachary Wordekemper
Daughter-Sarah and husband A.J. Eschwig of Lakewood, CO
Grandson-Nathan Bull of Ft. Collins, CO and his mother Sandy Baack of Wayne, NE

Grace Ann was preceded in death by her parents-Frank and Magdalena Grothe, her sister Lenora Brogan and brother-in-law John Brogan.
