Obituary for Ebbert Anderson

Funeral services for Ebbert J. Anderson age 86 of Wisner, NE will be on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Interment with Military Honors will be in the St. Paul's German Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, north of Wisner, NE. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Ebbert passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Wisner Care Center.

Ebbert John Anderson was born June 29, 1926 on the family farm north of Wisner, NE to Ebbert William and Hertha (Von Seggern) Anderson. He was baptized at the Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont and confirmed on March 29, 1942 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner. Ebbert attended Cuming Co. Rural School District #39 and graduated from Wisner High School in 1944. While in high school he worked at the McGinnis Drug Store. Ebbert served as a cook in the United States Navy during World War II from February 24, 1945 until being honorably discharged on August 13, 1946. On June 19, 1949, he was united in marriage to Lois Ann Von Seggern at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Ebbert farmed and fed cattle, worked for Kazaan Fertilizer in Beemer, and managed Hy-Way Lumber in Beemer before retiring. Shortly after retiring he began hauling corn for Herman Dinklage, Inc. and also was the delivery boy for his wife’s business-The Flower Shoppe. Lois passed away on August 18, 2012.

Ebbert was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5767 in Wisner and formerly served on the board of the Farmers Union Coop. He enjoyed making homemade ice cream, flying kites with his grandchildren, watching birds, bowling, and he loved to dance with Lois at wedding dances.

Ryan and wife Brandy Risinger of Omaha and children-Evelyn & Lincoln
Reed and wife Amanda Risinger of Ballwin, MO
Daughter- Jaye and husband Gerald Lierman of Beemer, NE and family
Carmen and husband Owen Schmoldt of Sulpher Springs, TX and son Austin
Gina and husband Tim Landsperger of Blair, NE and son Rory
Jordan Lierman of Wisner, NE and special friend Kendra and her daughter Dillyn Schultz

Ebbert was preceded in death by his parents-Ebbert W. and Hertha Anderson, step-mother-Ella Anderson, and his wife-Lois A. Anderson.
