Obituary for Betty J. Eschliman

Funeral services for Betty J. Eschliman age 82 of Wisner, NE will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner, NE with a luncheon to follow in the church. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery following the lunch. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Betty passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at CHI-Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Betty Joe Beeks Eschliman was born January 1, 1940 to Roy and Sylvia (Hatch) Beeks in Wayne, NE. Betty graduated from Wayne High School in 1958.

She was married to Donald Biggerstaff on February 28, 1959 and they later divorced in 1980. Betty worked for the Wayne Chamber of Commerce and Family Planning Service before becoming a C.N.A. She worked in Care Centers in Wayne, Pender, West Point, Beemer, and Cherry Vale, KS. She was united in marriage to Russell Eschliman on August 16, 1982 and resided in Wisner, NE.

Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church of Christ, Wisner VFW Auxiliary #5767, and the Wisner Fire Belles (Auxiliary). Betty enjoyed cooking and baking, reading and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Daughter-Tammy Field and Dean Hansen of Beemer, NE and family-Melissa (Jason) and family-Devon (Kya) and son Mason, and RyliAnn; Jeremy (Charlene) and son-Aaron; David (Jodi) and children-Brooklyn & Aiden; and Sabrina

Betty was preceded in death by her sons-Ted, Dale, & Terry, parents-Roy and Sylvia Beeks, 4 brothers-Don, Ivan, Robert, Earl, and I. J., 3 sisters-Dorothy, Irene, & Ruth, ex-husband-Donald Biggerstaff, parents-in-law-Tom and Betty Eschliman, and mother-in-law-Violet Anderson
