Marcella Koehler passed away May 13, 2022 in a private Board & Care home in Upland, Ca. Marcella Koehler, was born September 5, 1927 to Arthur and Bertha Smith. She attended elementary country school north of Wisner and graduated from Wisner High School in 1945. After graduation she worked as a secretary in Omaha. Marcella united in marriage with Burton Koehler on May 21, 1946. They lived on the first Homestead of Stanton County until 1970, when they moved to Burton’s farm place on HWY 275. She was a member of the Pilger United Methodist Church. In 2009 Marcella moved to Assistant Living in Palm Springs, CA where she was actively involved with many activities and excursions. In 2017 she moved to a private Board & Care Home in Upland, CA to be closer to her daughter, Nancy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Koehler, and sister Joyce Wortman. Survivors include one son, Scott Koehler of Pilger; one daughter Nancy Koehler Barboni, and her husband Philip Barboni of Upland, CA. A private service is being arranged and family requests no flowers.
