Obituary for Marilyn Raabe

Marilyn Louise Raabe, 66, of Wisner, NE passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner. The funeral will be on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion-St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Wisner, with Pastor Robert Mayes officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Church Cemetery in rural Beemer, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Minnick Funeral Services in Wisner, NE.

Marilyn was born on March 20, 1954 to Leo and Ruth (Liibbe) Raabe in West Point, NE. She attended and graduated on May 24, 1968 from grade school at Zion St. John’s Lutheran School and later graduated from Wisner Pilger High School on May 25, 1972. Shortly after graduation she started working at the Wisner News Chronicle. She worked there for 49 years before retiring on January 31, 2021.

Marilyn loved going to the nieces and nephews’ activities and playing board games with them.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother.
