Obituary for Alvin H Dinslage

Mass of Christian Burial for Alvin H. Dinslage age 83 of Beemer, NE will be on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer, NE with Fr. Vincent Sunguti as celebrant. Military Honors will follow the service with a luncheon at the Beemer American Legion Hall. Cremation will follow with interment in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 3:00 p.m., and will continue on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service, all at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be directed to the Beemer Fire and Rescue Department.

Masks will be required to be worn while attending the visitation and services at the church. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/minnickfuneralserviceinc.

Alvin passed away on February 3, 2021 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point, NE. He was born March 17, 1937 at West Point, NE to Anton and Selma (Meiergerd) Dinslage. Alvin served in the United States Army from 1955 until 1957. On August 4, 1962, he was united in marriage to Diana Zahourek at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner, NE.

Alvin worked for Peet’s Feed in Beemer and Fremont for over fifty years prior to retiring. In his retirement he worked for Prinz Grain and Feed in Beemer. Alvin was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2272 of West Point. Alvin was a member of the Beemer Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department for over 40 years. He also served on the Beemer Zoning Planning Commission. Alvin was an avid golfer, where he carded a hole-in-one at Indian Trails Golf Course in Beemer, loved his weekly bowling outings with the guys, and enjoyed cruises and vacationing with his family.

Borther-Larry (Toni) Dinslage of Dodge, NE
Along with several nieces and nephews also surviving him.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law-Marvin Novak, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law-Leonard and Helen Zahourek.
