Obituary for Paul B. Kreikemeier

Mass of Christian Burial for Paul B. Kreikemeier age 76 of West Point, NE will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey, rural West Point, NE. Interment will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is in care of the arrangements.

Paul passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point, NE.

Paul Bernard Kreikemeier was born on March 27, 1944 in West Point, NE to Herman “Shorty” and Angela (Klitz) Kreikemeier. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey. He attended St. Boniface School, St. Joseph’s Military Academy, near Hays, KS, and Guardian Angels High School. During his senior year he was needed on the family farm and was actively farming at the present time. He also was employed in Omaha for a few years at Grosserhode Welding. Paul was a Dairy Milk Producer for a number of years until 1993.

On September 20, 1969, he was united in marriage to Ladell Daberkow at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Omaha, NE.

Paul was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, was a former 4-H Leader, served on the Monterey Township Board for a number of years, and was actively involved with the West Point Community Theatre since 2008. Whether you knew him as PK, Elvis, Pawnee Bob, or the mayor of Monterey, Paul blessed anyone and everyone with his famous greetings and shenanigans.
