Obituary for Ron Stalp

Mass of Christian Burial for Ron Stalp age 61 of West Point, NE will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, NE with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Nielsen Community Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Public Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting with the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation in Ron's name. Ron passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at his home.

Ronald Francis Stalp was born on April 4, 1959 at West Point, NE to Dennis and Lorraine (Kreikemeier) Stalp. Ron attended Guardian Angels School and graduated from Central Catholic in 1978.

Ron’s passion was farming and fed cattle for many years. He lived on the Stalp home place until his death. Ron was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. On August 27, 1999 Ron married Jodene Karloff Uher. He loved spending time with his children and grand-children. His nieces and nephews always said that Ron was their favorite!

Ron loved cars, boats, motorcycles and anything that could go fast. He mostly enjoyed listening to music and being with his many friends, and living life to the fullest. Ron was very meticulous and was always proud of keeping his farm place and equipment in pristine condition.

Survivors include: sons-Landon Stalp and Marshall Stalp, both of West Point; step-daughters- Amy (Scott) Reiner, Waverly, NE, and Jackie (Jeremiah) Schantz, Wisner, NE; and three step-grandchildren: Charlotte Reiner, Boston and Boyd Schantz.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Stalp, and grand-parents Joseph and Christina (Schlueter) Stalp and Henry and Elsie (Batenhorst) Kreikemeier.
