Obituary for Denis J. Eusterbrock

Mass of Christian Burial for Denis J. Eusterbrock of rural Dodge, NE will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church-Aloys, rural West Point, NE. Interment with Military Honors will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation observing the 10 person rule in the building will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church-Aloys. The casket will be open at the church one hour prior to the service at the church. Both the Vigil Service and Mass will be following the social distance recommendations for religious services. The funeral mass will be live streamed on Minnick Funeral Service, Inc. Facebook page.

Denis passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Denis Joseph Eusterbrock was born on February 28, 1933 in Cuming Co., NE to Frank J. and Elizabeth (Timmerman) Eusterbrock. He attended St. Aloysius Catholic School. Denis farmed with his father and brother Ray. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. Upon being honorably discharged, he returned to farm with his father. He and his brother Richard continued to farm, also raising cattle and hogs.

Denis was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, where he helped with mowing. In his later years, he enjoyed gardening, growing pumpkins, gourds, and vegetables that he shared with family and friends.

Ed and Donna Eusterbrock of Redmond, OR
Alvin Eusterbrock of West Point, NE
Sister-in-law- Joan Trygg of Omaha, NE
Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

Denis was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-Ray, Marvin, and Clem Eusterbrock, and a sister-Bernice Kulhanek.
