Obituary for Clifford Schilling
Memorial services for Clifford Schilling age 74 of Wisner, NE will be on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. There will be a luncheon with interment following in the Bancroft Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the family for future designation in Cliff's name.
Cliff passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Countryside Home in Madison, NE.
Clifford Elmer Schilling was born on February 1, 1945 in West Point, NE to Elmer and Evelyn (Brandes) Schilling. He attended school in Bancroft, NE and graduated from Bancroft High School in 1963. He went on to attend Wayne State College, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
On August 21, 1966, he married Judy Block in Bancroft, NE. Cliff was a shop teacher in Ponca, Ewing and Gresham, NE. The family moved to Bloomfield, NE, where Cliff sold insurance. In 1980, the family moved to Wisner, where Cliff was the Industrial Arts teacher at Wisner-Pilger and later at Beemer Public Schools. In addition to teaching, Cliff coached football and wrestling and for a number of years was the Drivers Education instructor.
On June 7, 1997, he was united in marriage to Diane (Gausden) Becker at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE.
Cliff was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and served as a TeamMates mentor. He enjoyed hunting, camping, canoeing, playing cards, shooting pool, and attending his exercise classes in West Point. You could find Cliff riding “The Bumble Bee” his moped, going on road trips with friends, spending time with family, traveling, or attending his grandchildren’s activities.

Step-Son-Daniel and Autumn Becker of Killeen, TX
Sister-Janet Anderson of Pender, NE
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Judy on May 8, 1994, and twin infant brother-Clinton.
