Obituary for John Kerby
Memorial visitation for John Kerby age 65 of Wisner, NE will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner, NE. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be directed to the family for future designation in John's name.
John passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.
John Edward Kerby was born on November 18, 1954 in Centerville, IA to Harold and Barbara (Lee) Kerby. He graduated from Murray High School in Murray, IA in 1974. He received his Ag Business degree from Northeast Community College in 2005. He was currently employed with Nutrien Ag Solutions in Beemer, NE.
John married Deborah Rupp on February 14, 1976 in Griswold, IA. They were blessed with a son Johnny and a daughter Amanda.
John loved stock car racing and raced at local tracks for 13 years. He was crew chief for Johnny for many years, when he raced. John loved hunting, fishing, and working with his many bird dogs during his lifetime.
John is survived by his wife Debbie, son Johnny (Nikki) Kerby of Tabor, SD, and daughter Amanda (Jordan) Hromek and their sons Hudson and Wyatt of Milford, NE. His sisters Kayla (Randy Siebrandt and Judy (Kurt) Hansen, both of West Point, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Sheryl Hill.
