Obituary for Beverly Raasch

Memorial services for Beverly Raasch age 86 of Randolph, NE formerly of Beemer, NE will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beemer Mennonite Church. Interment will be in the Beemer Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Beemer American Legion Hall. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Beverly passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer, NE.

Beverly Ann (Brown) Raasch was born on May 6, 1933 at Beemer, NE to Duane and Audrey (Nelson) Brown. Beverly attended school in Beemer and graduated from Beemer High School in 1950, and worked as a housewife, cocktail waitress and business manager in Beemer. On November 18, 1951 she married Adolph William Raasch. They raised 3 sons, Dolph, Dana, and Drew and 1 daughter Denise.

On November 18, 1951, she was united in marriage to Adolph Raasch, Jr. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE. Bev’s good-natured, perky personality and work as a waitress (Lazy Dude Lounge, Indian Trails Country Club) and manager (Indian Trails Country Club), were keys in her making many good friends, and being a well-known and well-liked character by the Beemer and Cuming County communities.

Bev lived in Beemer for most of her life with the exception of living several of her twilight years in Vista, CA with the Dolph and Raye Raasch family and in Randolph, NE with the John and Denise Aschoff family.
Beverly enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and the occasional trip across the river.

Son-Drew and Nicki Raasch of Edwardsville, IL
8 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren with 2 additional arriving in 2020

Sister-Barbara Nicas of Lincoln, NE

She was preceded in death by her parents-Duane and Audrey Brown, and her husband-Adolph Raasch, Jr.
