To all of Jerry's family, please accept our sincere condolences. To Dave, your dad was so proud of you. I wish we had learned of your Dad's passing soon enough to attend his funeral. I treasure those years at West Point radio when you were an intern. You learned well. Your Dad raised you and your sister Lisa well. And to Cheryl, you and Jerry touched the lives of so many people. The gold in your hearts will live in others for generations. Gods' blessing to you all. -Bob & Tammy Flittie, Fremont. (I'm still at it: KHUB).

My condolences to all your family and friends. It's so hard to lose a loved one, but hopefully sharing memories together can help you through this time.
Lisa - I had no idea that Jerry is your dad! I've met Jerry multiple times over the years at the annual NCE Ag Ed banquet. Although he wasn't in the Ag classroom for as many years as I thought he was, he stayed in touch with all the Ag Ed folks and was always a great source of stories! Many years, the final "event" of our banquet is recognizing the retiring educators. Some teachers have been at one school for decades, some have moved into community college classrooms, and others have continued to work with Ag Ed through 4-H or other programs after leaving the school setting. Your dad always told the best stories about the retiring teachers! Stories from learning the ropes together as young teachers, stories from their college days and even some very entertaining stories of conference and convention trips. I will definitely miss hearing Jerry's stories.
