Obituary for Ludmilla A. Roubal

Mass of Christian Burial for Ludmilla A. Roubal age 96 of Omaha formerly of Dodge, NE will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE with Fr. Rodney Kneifl as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., and will continue on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Minnick Funeral Chapel in Dodge is assisting with the arrangements.

Ludmilla passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE

Ludmilla Antonia (Nemec) Roubal was born on October 12, 1922 near Howells, NE to William and Marie (Faltin) Nemec. She attended Rural District School #22.

On August 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Bohumil Roubal at St. Mary’s Catholic Church-Tabor. The couple lived on a farm near Howells, NE.

Ludmilla was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She had been very active and belonged to the ladies groups at St. Mary’s Catholic Church-Tabor, was a member of a County Extension Club, and had volunteered at the Parkview Home in Dodge.

She loved to bake, crochet, play cards, watch TV game shows and the cable channel RFD, especially the Molly B Show. She enjoyed watching Husker football, but what she probably enjoyed most of all was children- raising her son, babysitting for other families, babysitting her grandchildren, and watching her great grandchildren play and grow.

Ludmilla was preceded in death by her parents-William and Marie Nemec, husband-Bohumil Roubal, daughter-in-law-Lois Roubal, and her brother-Leonard Nemec.
