Funeral services for Sandra Lanz age 59 of Thurston, NE will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE with Pastor Jared Hartman officiating. Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Sandra passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender, NE.

Sandra Faye (Bode) Lanz was born on April 4, 1960 to Donald and Marjorie (Westerhold) Bode in West Point, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Sandra attended Wisner Public School, graduating from Wisner-Pilger High School in 1978. She was employed with State Farm Insurance in Lincoln, NE, Ortmeier & Associates Insurance in Wisner, Pender Public Schools and was a caregiver in the Pender area for the last several years.

On August 25, 1989, she was united in marriage to Mike Lanz in Clarkson, NE.

Sandra loved her animals and enjoyed doing cross stitch, which she shared with family and friends. She loved spending time with family and friends. Over the last several weeks, Sandra was blessed with family and friends that made for a joyous journey.
