Funeral services for Arthur "Art" Breitbarth age 93 of Fremont, NE formerly of West Point will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Art passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Methodist Fremont Health in Fremont, NE.

Arthur John William Breitbarth was born on December 1, 1925 on the Breitbarth homestead west of Bancroft, NE to Edward and Hulda (Longe) Breitbarth. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Pender, NE. Art attended Cuming Co. Rural School through the 8th Grade. He began farming at an early age on the family homestead.

On January 26, 1958, he was united in marriage to Oma Miller in Scribner, NE. They lived on the family farm 10 miles west of Bancroft until moving into West Point in 1994.

Art was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Pender. His true passion was farming, as he still continued to follow anything associated with it.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Oma, and 5 brothers.
