Obituary for Patricia Potter-Stover

Memorial services for Patricia Potter-Stover age 77 of West Point, NE will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service at Christ Place Church-West Point Campus. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family c/o Minnick Funeral Home, 830 S. Colfax St. West Point, NE 68788

Pat passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at her home in West Point, NE.

Patricia Potter was born on May 23, 1941 in Council Bluffs, IA to Maxfield Franklin and Rebecca (DeLong) Potter. She grew up in Oakland, IA and graduated from Oakland High School in 1959. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Simpson College in Indianola, IA, in college Pat had the lead role in their production of “Taming of the Shrew”. Pat was a social worker in Omaha, NE for a number of years and later taught at Metro Community College and was proud to have received their “Heart of Metro Award”, she later retired in 2007.

On November 20, 1982, she was united in marriage to Dr. Ray M. Stover in Omaha, NE.

Pat was a member of Christ Place Church in West Point and belonged to several bible groups. She enjoyed volunteering, shopping looking for the next bargain at garage sales and at the goodwill stores, traveling, visiting with friends, and watching movies. She was a great story teller, was very funny and always made people laugh. After meeting Pat, you were no longer a stranger.

Clark Potter and daughter Malana, Ross and wife Katie Potter
Brother- Jim and Roberta Potter of Papillion, NE and family-
Julie and husband Ty Castro, Jenny Potter
Sister-in-law- Isabell Potter of Omaha, NE
Rebecca Potter, and Lillian Sydow

Numerous friends also survive Pat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Bruce Potter, and sister-Jean Potter.
