Obituary for Elaine Nebuda

Memorial services for Elaine A. Nebuda, age 95 of Columbus, NE formerly of West Point, NE, will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE with Pastor Richard Bringewatt officiating. Private family interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is handling the arrangements for the family.

Elaine passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus, NE.

Elaine Adelle Martha Nebuda was born on April 27, 1922, near Pender, NE to Henry and Louise (Tonjes) Rehling. Elaine attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in West Point and graduated from West Point High School in 1940. She attended Beauty College in Norfolk and later operated Elaine’s Beauty Shop in West Point, NE.

On November 14, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Nebuda in Mineral Wells, TX. The couple lived on a farm north of West Point. Elaine had worked in the Cuming County School Superintendent’s Office until her retirement. She moved to Columbus, NE in 2011.

Elaine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and riding her three wheeled bicycle around town.

Sons- Robert, Jr. and Vicki Nebuda of Cincinnati, OH
Daniel and Ramona Nebuda of Columbus, NE
Dale and Angel Nebuda of Omaha, NE
Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren-
Sharon Nebuda and Andy Heidinger and children-Thomas, Gwenyth & Emma
Sarah Nebuda
Ryan and Melissa Nebuda and son Knox
Katie Nebuda and son Elliot
Trina Henlsey

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Robert Nebuda, Sr., brother- Henry Rehling, and a sister-Hermine Ludwig.
