Funeral services for David R. Kvols age 65 of Stanton, NE formerly of Wisner, NE will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE with interment in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is in charge of the arrangements.

David passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Stanton Health Center.

David Ray Kvols, son of Kristian and Ruth (Davidson) Kvols, was born on September 21, 1952 in West Point, NE. He was baptized at the Methodist Church in Wisner on September 13, 1953. When he was young, he enjoyed being outside playing with his favorite dog “Toy Boy” and playing catch.

Later in life he was a resident at North Star in Wayne. He had fond memories of all the caregivers who took him to Husker football games, Godfather’s Pizza, fishing, many Wayne State games, and other activities. David worked at the North Star Workshop.

David enjoyed being with family, watching husker football and western movies, especially anything that John Wayne was in. He also loved riding in the tractor, pickup, and looking at the cattle. During the holidays, he like Easter egg hunting, flying kites, and playing ball with all the nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents-Ruth and Kristian Kvols and a stillborn niece-Janet Cheney.
