Funeral services for Roger Flock age 80 of West Point, NE will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE, with Pastor Judith Rainforth officiating. Lunch will follow the service with burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery-rural Pender, NE to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Wednesday from one hour prior to the service at the church.

Roger passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Roger Dean Flock was born April 6, 1937 in Sparland, IL to Jessie and Grace (Mullen) Flock. He attended Pierce Grade School in Chillicothe, IL until 1947, when his family moved to Bancroft, NE. Roger graduated from Bancroft High School in 1955.

In 1960, he married Judith Wobken at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, west of Pender, NE. A son Kevin was born to them in 1963. Judith (Wobken) Flock passed away on March 31, 1987.

On July 16, 1988, Roger married Shirley Meyer at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. They had 29 years of happy married life.

Roger was employed at Stigge Machine in West Point, Wimmers Meat Products in West Point for 25 years before retiring. After retiring, Roger took classes and became a Massage Therapist. Later he worked part-time for Woodhouse Motors in Blair, NE and also Stigge Machine in West Point.

Roger was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in West Point. He enjoyed collecting flashlights, and playing cards. He and Shirley loved to travel in their camper.

Carolyn and Michael Pflueger and family of Norfolk, NE
Barbara and Gary Olsen and family of Worthington, MN
Donna and Jerry Schneider and family of Loveland, CO
Amy Meyer and Bing Bindrum and family of Falls City, NE
20 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren

Brother- Duane Flock (who passed away a day after Roger) and wife Jeanette of Bancroft, NE
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive him.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, first wife- Judith Flock, stillborn brother-Harold, and a granddaughter- Jennifer Christensen.
