Memorial visitation for George Lininger age 76 of Scribner, NE will be on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. No services are being planned.

George passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

George Patrick Lininger was born on April 30, 1941 in Denison, IA to George and Helen (Novotny) Lininger.

George had been employed at Norfolk Iron & Metal along with Midwestern Beef in Norfolk, before working at Iowa Beef Processors in West Point, NE. He continued working for the Tyson Plant until his retirement.

On November 12, 1966, he was united in marriage to Leila Schultz in Norfolk, NE.

George enjoyed fishing and he was known as “Fisherman George” to family and friends.
