Steve passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at his home.

Steven Ellis Duncan was born to Francis M and Nettie M. (Behmer) Duncan on August 24, 1947, at Norfolk, NE. He was baptized on Nov. 16, 1947 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Norfolk, NE by Rev. Daniel A. Gimbel. Steve was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 28, 1961, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Norfolk, NE, by Rev. B. Meschke.

Steve attended school in Norfolk and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in July of 1966 and was stationed at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, where he worked in supply management. An honorable discharge was awarded Steve in July of 1970.

Steve received his Associate in Arts Degree from Northeast Community College in 1972, and his Bachelors of Science Degree from Wayne State College in 1973. He was married to Corinne L. Norskov on July 17, 1971 at the United Methodist Church in Norfolk, NE, by Rev. Frank M. Schroeder. They had two children, a daughter, Sara, and a son, Tyler. He was employed by Jerome C. Bahm as an accountant before the family moved from Norfolk to West Point in 1976.

Steve opened his own accounting business in West Point, NE in 1988. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he did bookkeeping and was the General Fund Treasurer for 25 years. Steve was active in AA for 37 years. His hobbies were bowling where he won many trophies, movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Corinne, his daughter, Sara (Mrs. David Crow) of Cambria, CA, and his son Tyler of West Point, a sister, Sherry (Mrs. Larry Dinkel) of Norfolk, NE, and a sister, Donna (Mrs. Jerry Jochum) of Lincoln, NE, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Francis M. Duncan in 2002, and his mother Nettie M. Duncan in 1981.
