Funeral services for Anna Mae Oswald age 83 of Beemer, NE will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beemer Mennonite Church in Beemer, NE. Private interment will be in the Beemer Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Beemer Mennonite Church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Mae passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Anna Mae Oswald was born on May 1, 1934 in Beemer, NE to Edward and Lydia (Wittrig) Stutzman. At an early age the family moved to Broken Bow, NE. Anna Mae graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1951. After graduation the family returned to Beemer and Anna Mae taught rural school north of Wisner for one year.

On September 4, 1953, she was united in marriage to James Oswald at the Plum Creek Mennonite Church, rural Beemer, NE. The couple moved to Larned, KS for over a year, where Anna Mae worked in the State Hospital. They returned to a farm near West Point, NE and in 1988 moved into West Point. Anna Mae operated the Next to New Store in West Point and later did home health care. In 2005, the couple moved to Beemer.

Anna Mae was a member of the Beemer Mennonite Church.

She enjoyed crocheting afghans, working crossword puzzles, putting together sequined calendars and crafts in general.

Kyra Greve and Cord Schueth of Norfolk, NE
Brother- Louis and Dorothy Stutzman of Loveland, CO

Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband-James in 2007, and brothers- Glen, John, Leslie, Harry, and Ed Stutzman.
