Obituary for Jayda Oligmueller

Mass of Christian Burial for Jayda Oligmueller age 18 of Pilger will be Thursday, March 30th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wisner. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and will continue on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at the church. There will be a Wake Service on Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is handling the arrangements for the family.

Jayda passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 near Clearwater, NE as the result of injuries suffered in a automobile accident.

Jayda Marie Oligmueller was born on November 9, 1998 in West Point, NE to Dave and Carol (Ruskamp) Oligmueller. Jayda attended Wisner-Pilger Public Schools and was set to graduate in May 2017. While in high school, Jayda was active in volleyball, track, FFA, band, speech, one-act, play production, National Honor Society, student council and had been a class officer. She was active in 4-H and at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. When she was younger she enjoyed dancing and gymnastics.

Jayda loved spending time with her friends and family, whether it was playing cards, shopping, movies, eating ice cream, or taking pictures. She enjoyed traveling, especially the trips to Europe, Costa Rica, and Nashville. Her favorite colors were orange and purple. She had a deep love for animals, especially her dog-Sport and cat-Slick. Jayda had an infectious smile that was contagious.

Survivors include her parents, Dave and Carol Oligmueller of Pilger, brothers- Tyler and Sarah Oligmueller of Pilger, Jason Oligmueller and Travis Oligmueller, both of Wisner, paternal grandparents Norbert and Delores Oligmueller of West Point, maternal grandmother Mary Ann Ruskamp of Dodge, and her god parents, Bernie Ruskamp and Karen Hass. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Jayda is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather-Norbert Ruskamp, and cousins, Tami Oligmueller, Matthew Oligmueller, Aspen Ruskamp, and Emersyn Klein.
