Funeral services for Neil Stark age 62 of Beemer, NE will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer, NE with Pastor Robert Mayes officiating. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with a luncheon following at the Beemer American Legion Hall. Visitation will be on Wednesday from noon to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Beemer Fire and Rescue.

Neil passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Neil Lynn Stark was born on March 15, 1956 in West Point, NE to Reynold and Helen (Fullner) Stark. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer, NE. Neil attended Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from West Point High School in 1975. In high school, Neil participated in wrestling. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for one year. After college, he worked on the Jim Troyer farm, for Schroeder Feedlots and the West Point Sale Barn. Neil began his welding career with Skip Schulzkump at West Point Welding. He later went to work at Jones Manufacturing/The Parts Junction in Beemer, where he was employed for 30 years.

Neil was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer, Beemer Fire and Rescue for 25 years, was a charter member of the Silver Rock Canoe Club and belonged to the Beemer Community Theatre. Neil enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, his nieces and nephews meant the world to him. He also enjoyed golfing. Neil was in the movie- “Indian Runner”, directed by Sean Penn.

Sister- Susan and Tim Schroeder of West Point, NE
Brother- Steve Stark of West Point, NE
Brother-Gary Stark of West Point, NE
Sister-Carol and Hal Wagner of West Point, NE
Sister-Donna and Mike Graybeal of West Point, NE

Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents, and a great nephew-Cody Troyer.
