Funeral services for Maurice Bartosh age 84 of Dodge, NE will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells, NE with Pastor Mike Moreno officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, rural Dodge, NE. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm and Monday from 9 am until the time of the service, both at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells, NE. Minnick Funeral Chapel in Dodge is assisting the family with the arrangements..

Maurice passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 near Dodge, NE in a farm accident.

Maurice Bartosh was born on August 26, 1933 at rural Dodge, NE to Albin and Effie (Greever) Bartosh. He attended Dodge Public School and graduated from Scribner High School in 1951. Maurice served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

On January 3, 1955, he was united in marriage to Macie Chesteen in Andalusia, AL. The couple resided in Florida until Maurice was honorably discharged from the Air Force. They returned to Dodge, where Maurice farmed with his father.

Maurice enjoyed taking care of his cows, his orchard-where he grew apples, peach and apricots, gardening, giving rides on his golf cart, baking rolls and pies, participating in the Great Northeast Nebraska Tractor Rides, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Maurice was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dodge before it closed and was currently a member of Triinity Lutheran Church in Howells. He was a member of Dodge American Legion Post #122 and was a board member of the Bohemian National Cemetery, rural Dodge.

Daughter- Deb Wagner of Plattsmouth, NE and daughter-
Hannah Wagner
Brother- James Bartosh of Fremont, NE

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents and a set of twins in infancy.
