Obituary for Jerry "Boner" Bohnenkamp

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jerry "Boner" Bohnenkamp age 67 of Wisner, NE on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wisner City Auditorium. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner, NE is handling the arrangements for the family.

Jerry passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Wisner Care Center.

Jerry Bohnenkamp was born on May 28, 1951 at West Point, NE to Raymond and Marie (Schroeder) Bohnenkamp. He attended Wisner Public Schools and graduated from the last class at Wisner High School in 1969. After graduation he did construction before serving in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. Upon being honorably discharged he worked construction in Norfolk, NE.

On April 12, 1975, he was united in marriage to Pat Krueger at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE. Jerry worked for Louis Dinklage, Inc. on the East Place, Wisner Feed Lots, Wisner Coop, and Sandy Lot Feed Lot before retiring. He enjoyed helping with the Youth Mentor Pheasant Hunts every year.

Boner loved to hunt, watching sports, and especially following his New York Yankees. He also loved spending time with family and friends, and bringing people together in his garage.

Daughters- Sarah Bohnenkamp of Lincoln, NE and family-Nola, Natayla and Arianna
Jessica and Daryl, Jr. Wilkerson of Chicago, IL and family-Isaiah and Reece
Mother- Marie and John Woerdemann of Wisner, NE
Siblings- Phyllis Deseck of Lincoln, NE
Jim Bohnenkamp of Oklahoma City, OK
Rick and Donna Bohnenkamp of Canyon City, CO
Terry and Carrie Bohnenkamp of Parker, CO
Paul and Tracie Bohnenkamp of Oklahoma City, OK
Tim Bohnenkamp of Oklahoma City, OK
Tom and Tammy Bohnenkamp of Lincoln, NE
Ann and Steve Mulinix of Lincoln, NE
Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father-Raymond Bohnenkamp.

The family wishes to invite everyone to help celebrate Jerry’s life at the Wisner City Auditorium on Saturday, as that’s “the only way he would have wanted it.”
