Funeral services for Jeff Eckert age 58 of Pilger, NE will be on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church-Pilger, NE with Rev. Timothy Booth officiating. Interment will be in the Pilger Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is handling the arrangements for the family.

Jeff passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Pender Community Hospital.

Jeff Eckert was born on November 11, 1959 at Norfolk, NE to Loren and Mary (Chilcott) Eckert. He was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner and later confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE. Jeff attended Pilger Elementary School, graduated from Wisner-Pilger High School in 1979 and later attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE.

Jeff worked as an auto mechanic for various car dealerships. He later farmed and drove truck.

He enjoyed attending tractor pulls and loved his animals.

Sons- Brandon and Erica Eckert of Pilger, NE
Dustin Eckert of Pilger, NE
Parents- Loren and Mary Eckert of Pilger, NE
Sister- Jean Schaulis of Wisner, NE
Nephews and a niece also survive him.
