Obituary for Paulette Cooley

Funeral services for Paulette Cooley age 72 of Scribner, NE will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner, NE with Pastor Bruce Schut officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Paulette passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home in Scribner, NE.

Paulette Mae Cooley was born on October 14, 1945 in West Point, NE to Paul E. and Arlene (Bleckwehl) Manning. She was baptized on April 14, 1946 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender and later confirmed on April 26, 1959 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bancroft. Paulette graduated from Bancroft High School in 1962 and Bahner’s Beauty College in Fremont, NE.

On April 10, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dennis Cooley at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender, NE. Paulette worked in food service most of her life, she operated The Hotel in Scribner, worked at Adie’s Bar and Restaurant in Snyder, Lee’s Grocery in Scribner and also at Scribner-Snyder High School.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner. Paulette enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and traveling. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in their sporting events. She was a hard worker and her family meant the world to her.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Paulette was preceded in death by her father.
