Memorial services for Dorothy L. (Mrs. Wesley) Schutte age 92 of Beemer, NE will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion-St. John Lutheran Church, rural Wisner, NE. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Dorothy passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Bergan-Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Dorothy Lucile (Biermann) Schutte was born on May 12, 1925 on the family farm in Wayne Co., NE to William F. and Frieda (Launhardt) Biermann. On May 31, 1925, she was baptized and later confirmed on April 2, 1939 by Pastor F.G. Schaller at Trinity Lutheran Church, Altona, NE.

On April 21, 1957, she was united in marriage to Wesley Schutte. The couple made their home on a farm south east of Wisner, NE.

Dorothy was a member of Zion-St. John Lutheran Church, rural Wisner, its Ladies Aid and enjoyed volunteering at Zion-St. John Lutheran School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son-Lee on Sept. 3, 1988, sisters- Esther and Vern Meyers, Ellen Strelow, brothers-George and Elaine Biermann, Carl and Doreen Biermann, and a sister-in-law-Karen Biermann.
