Obituary for Marleen Dinklage

Marleen  Dinklage
A celebration of “Leave of Presence” for Marleen Dinklage age 73 of Wisner, NE will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Marleen passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.

Marleen Lou Dinklage was born on June 7, 1944 in Bloomfield, NE to Adolph and Martha (Meinke) Schnoor. She was baptized at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. She graduated from Norfolk High School, a member of the Class of 1962. Marleen attended Lincoln School of Commerce. Prior to her marriage, she worked at Dan’s Café, F.W. Woolworth, and in the social service department of the Norfolk State Hospital.

On February 24, 1963, she was united in marriage to Dean T. Dinklage at the Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, NE.

Dean and Marleen worked together in their farming and feeding operation, the ownership and daily operation of D & M Sales and Supply and became Dinklage Enterprises.

Marleen was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner, WELCA and taught Sunday School and Bible School; Order of Eastern Star #194 of Wayne, NE and was Worthy Grand Matron of OES for the State of Nebraska in 1992-1993; charter member of the Nebraska Redwingers; past secretary for Cuming Co. Rural School District #40, past president of Wisner Junior Women’s Club; member of the Pleasurettes Club. She enjoyed the hobbies of genealogy, auctions and traveling. Marleen will definitely be remembered for killing every plant she attempted to grow. She had items on her bucket list when she died.

Son-Craig Dinklage and wife Terry of Graham, WA and his son Brian Dinklage and Ashley Smith of Puyallup, WA and Brian’s daughter Rachel and son Keagen, step grandson-Jonathan Stotz of Graham, WA, step granddaughters-Mona Schroers of Germany and daughter-Sina, Sabrina Revelee of Bonnie Lake, WA and son Andrew, and Nadine Noky of Venice, FL an son Sean

Son-Marc Dinklage and wife Sandy of Omaha, NE and his children Masen and Mallori

Brothers- H. Gene Schnoor of Marble Falls, TX; Gary and Jimmie Beth Schnoor of Teague, TX; and Joe and Charlene Schnoor of Keller, TX

Marleen was preceded in death by her husband, Dean who died on April 22, 2011 as the result of an accident, her parents, sister-in-law, and two nieces.
