Obituary for Earl Griffin

Memorial services for Earl J. Griffin age 86 of Beemer, NE will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Family Worship Center in West Point, NE, with Pastor Aaron Trimble officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with arrangements.

Earl passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Premier Estates of West Point.

Earl James Griffin was born on March 29, 1931 at Decatur, NE to Walter and Viola (Young) Griffin. He grew up in Decatur, NE and attended Decatur Public Schools. In 1948, Earl enlisted in the U.S. Navy while in high school and completed his G.E.D. in the service. He was honorably discharged in 1954. Earl lived in Albuquerque, NM for a number of years and worked as a warehouse supervisor.

Earl lived in Denver, CO for several years and he was united in marriage to Naoma Mathews in 2002. The couple have been residing in Beemer for the last several years.

Earl was a member of Beemer American Legion Post #159. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending auctions, and loved to travel.
