Mary B. Kelly age 76 of Beemer, NE passed away on April 7, 2017 at the Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer. No services are being planned. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family.

Mary Belle (Shindoll) Kelly was born on October 30, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA to Edward and Lorene (Henry) Shindoll. Mary graduated from Artesia High School in Lakewood, CA. After her marriage to Clifford Kelly, the lived in Stuttgart, Germany and later returned to California. Mary B. worked for Monsanto Corporation and later for Arrowhead Aeronautics, where she helped assemble the life support systems for astronauts. She later took care of her mother-in-law and other family members. After a move to Texas, she worked in a nursing home and also provided in home health care for a number of years. Mary B. returned to California to care for her grandchildren and in 2005 moved to Beemer.

Mary B. enjoyed crocheting and made lap blankets for the residents and baby caps for the expecting nurses at Colonial Haven. She loved doing crafts and also helped decorate Colonial Haven and Colonial Courts for the different seasons.

Daughter- Katherine O’dem of Golds Beach, OR
Daughter- Mary and Eugene Lyon of Beemer, NE
Grandchildren- Michael Moore, Frances & Eric Veollin and children-Lillian and Cullen, Ryan & Janet Moore, Dennis Lyon, Katelyn & Michael English and daughter-Lennox

Brother- Edward and Delaine Shindoll of Kauffman, TX

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-Linda Whitely.
