Condolences

Condolence From: Jim and Jane Budde
Condolence: On more than one occasion, late at night, Dale conned me into marching in the Memorial Day parade. Dale could be quite convincing and generally stretched the truth to make his pitch. You wondered if his line was fact or fiction, but you did't care as the entertainment was so good.

Dale loved his old dogs. But he also loved his community. Not many can list the numerous accomplishments that he achieved. He was part of the backbone and life blood of Wisner. He stepped in when needed, but he also recognized need and opportunity and acted. He touched many and made the environment a better place. He was uniquely successful.

Dale was always an attraction when we met with others at our cabin in North Bend. He frequently reported on his family of whom he was immensely proud. While he teased Helen, there was no doubt that they had a tremendous love for each other.

Dale was two classes ahead of me, and the big man on the playground. Later we were both committed to serve our country--Dale in Germany an me in Korea. We were proud and honored to have served. We had an unspoken bond as many buddies have. So I believe I can say that a military funeral for this old soldier was certainly in order and deserved--a final fitting tribute to a real American.

Condolence From: Rosemary Raasch
Condolence: Dear Friends,
I'd like to take this means (at this time) to offer my deepest sympathy to you and yours in the recent loss of your loved one, Dale. I know he was definitely THE HIGHLIGHT of your lives, but also to the friends and citizens of Wisner and surrounding areas. I know how tough it is to lose one who has provided so much to everybody. His kind deeds and gestures will be remembered by all!

May you draw comfort and strength from your family and friends, your FAITH, but most of all, your LORD! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss and bereavement. May God keep you in HIS loving care, now and in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead! In prayerful sympathy. Rosemary
