Funeral services for Orville Feyerherm age 94 of West Point, NE will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE, with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Beemer, NE. Visitation will be on Tuesday from noon to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or St. Paul's Lutheran School in Orville's name.

Orville passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Orville Feyerherm was born on October 16, 1922, near Beemer, NE to Adolph and Wilhelmine (Beerbohm) Feyerherm. He was baptized on November 11, 1922 and later confirmed on March 21, 1937 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer. Orville attended Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School through the 8th grade and graduated from West Point High School in 1941. He was attending Business School in Omaha, when his brother Elmer was drafted, and returned to help his father on the family farm.

On June 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Olga Huntemann at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point. They farmed the family farm near Beemer until 1989, at which time they moved to West Point.

Orville was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he served as financial secretary, treasurer, trustee, chairman, and served on the school board. He was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Laymen’s League. In 2000, he and Olga became members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point. Orville also served as treasurer of the Cuming Co. Historical Society for 12 years.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, brother-Elmer, and sisters-Winona Schultz and Aleta Blobaum.
