Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner, NE. Interment with Military Rites will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dean A Guern of Littleton, CO. passed away o 10/3/2016. He was born to Arnold Emil Guern and Evelyn Augusta Vollmer Guern on 9/20/1935 in Scribner, NE. He is survived by his daughter, Deana (Keith) Goates, grand daughters Raevyn and Rachel Goates, sister Sherry Guern, nieces DiLynn and Michelle, nephews Tim, Dennis, James and Gilbert. Also survived by his step children Wiliam, Robert Krallis, and Karen Blackburn. Seven step grandchildren, Eighteen step gr. grandchildren, and two step gr.gr. Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Elinor, brothers Darwin (De De), Gary Guern, and son Richard A. Guern.
Dean served his country as a Marine during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged on 9/27/1956. He owned and operated his own business as a heavy equipment operator in California until he retired in 1992 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. And was a member of Operating Engineers Local 12. After the death of his 2nd wife, Elinor, he moved to Littleton CO. to be nearer to his daughter because of failing health concerns.
