Memorial services for Gina Hanlon age 27 of Omaha, NE formerly of West Point, NE will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church in Omaha, NE, located at 404 S. 108th Ave. Omaha, NE 68154. Visitation will be on Thursday with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. Gina is the daughter of Roy and Brenda Cook of West Point. The family suggests that memorials be directed to the family for P.J.'s education.

Gina passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha from small cell carcinoma.

Gina Ann (Cook) Hanlon was born on June 30, 1988 at West Point, NE to Roy and Brenda (Labenz) Cook. She attended West Point Public School and graduated from West Point High School in 2006. Gina attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received her B.S. Degree in Chemistry, graduating with honors.

On July 18, 2009, she was united in marriage to Patrick M. Hanlon in Omaha, NE. The couple moved to the Seattle, WA area while Patrick was serving in the armed forces. Gina was employed at Test America and later Fremont Analytical in their lab departments. In 2014, they family returned to Omaha, where Gina worked at Evonik Industries in Blair, NE as a Quality Control Chemist.

Gina attended Christ Community Church in Omaha. She enjoyed doing counted cross-stitch, gardening, canning, and jig saw puzzles. She loved Pinterest and HGTV, but most of all she loved spending time with her son, P.J.

Grandmother-in-law-Mary Rae Wolf of Omaha, NE

Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive Gina.

She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandfather-Gerald Cook, Maternal Grandfather-Raymond Labenz, and an uncle-George Cook.
