Jerry and Evon were salt of the earth in savoring family and suffering loss. Jerry served in the US Navy, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a career employee with AT&T. Upon retiring, Jerry volunteered nearly three decades with Meals on Wheels. Evon was devoted and ever resourceful as the cornerstone of the household, and as the president’s secretary with the Northland Chamber of Commerce and Northland National Bank. Jerry and Evon were grateful members of King of Kings Lutheran Church of Kansas City.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the Kansas City Community Gardens.
