Obituary for Rosalie Ott

Funeral services for Rosalie Ott age 88 of Wisner, NE will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Interment will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Beemer, NE. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Rosalie passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Rosalie Ruth Ott was born July 29, 1925 at Beemer, NE to John F. and Wilhelmina (Feyerherm) Holtz. She was baptized at home and later confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer, NE. Rosalie attended Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School. She did housework for area families prior to her marriage. On June 3, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ezra E. Ott at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rosalie was a homemaker on their farm south of Wisner. They moved into Wisner in 1981. The couple was members of Zion-St. John Lutheran Church until 1993 and became members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner.

Rosalie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Fellowship Club and Bible Study. She was also a member of the Industrious Extension Club and the Sunshine Singers, which would entertain at area nursing homes.

Aaron and wife Margo Ott and children- Dana Ott and son Brayton, and Ethan Ott
Joseph and wife Andrea Ott and daughter Hope
Benjamin Ott
Son-Gerald and wife Helen Ott of Hastings, MN and family
Jesse, Laura, Chloe and Lucas Ott
Daughter-Diane and husband Roger Kuester of Wisner, NE

Brothers- Arlin Holtz of Overland Park, KS
John Lee Holtz of Littleton, CO
Milton and wife Alice Holtz of Tabor, IA
Quintin and wife Genny Holtz of Sioux Falls, SD

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Ezra on May 11, 2006, brother-Roland Holtz, and sisters- Irma Bergt and Lillian Adkins.
