Memorial services for Lester Toelle age 66 of Beemer, NE will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE. Interment will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery rural Beemer, NE. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Lester passed away on March 22, 2013 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Lester Gene Toelle was born March 3, 1947 on the family farm southwest of Beemer, NE to Raymond and Verna (Hoefener) Toelle. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Beemer, NE. Lester graduated from Beemer High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 during the Vietnam Conflict. Lester was employed at D&S Tire in West Point from 1973 until 2003 before retiring due to a disability.

Lester was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer and was a month shy of being a member of AA for 24 years.

Lester is survived by a sister-Alice Sensibaugh of Chandler, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
