Funeral services for Wilma Troyer age 76 of West Point, NE will be Friday, November 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beemer Mennonite Church with interment in the Beemer Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Wilma passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012.
Wilma Mae Troyer was born March 25, 1936 at Shickley, NE to Mose K. and Ida (Schweitzer) Erb. She attended school at Martland and Shickley, NE. Wilma quit school after the 9th grade to care for her father and older brothers. On May 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ivan E. Troyer at the Salem Mennonite Church in Shickley, NE. Later that year the couple moved to a farm near West Point, NE. She was later employed at the Oakland Locker, Carlson’s Dry Goods and Nelson’s Jack n’ Jill. After moving to Beemer, Wilma worked at Allen’s Food Mart in West Point, Beemer Sundries in Beemer, and lastly in the Bakery Department at Graybeal’s Foods in West Point.
Wilma was a member of the Beemer Mennonite Church, its Mennonite Women, involved in the Community Children’s Ministry and a community bible study group. She loved the grandkids, to bake, to garden, playing games with her family and reading. Wilma went out of her way in serving her church and community.

Troyer in 1993, great grandson-James Hummel, three brothers- Virgil, Alvin and Robert Erb, four sisters-Mary Erb, Elsie Heyen, Mattie and husband Roy Troyer, and Gladys and husband Lester Troyer, in-laws- Lee Schlegel, Glenn and wife Aldene Troyer, Leroy Stutzman, Dale Miller, and Larry Springer.
